The combustion chamber of Ecotek pellet stovesis formed from FIREX 600. This is a ceramic material that incorporatess vermiculite….making it highly resistant to flame damage and enabling it to store and release heat slowly.
Ceramics play a large part in the decorative casing of the stove, with the majolica tiles that are incorporated in the exterior design. Not only are they attractive and brightly colored, these tiles are quite functional in that they also retain and release heat from the stoves.
